these essential oils originate from certified organic plants (BE-BIO-02 – belgian agriculture). they are 100% pure and identified by means of gas chromatographic analysis (composition and proportions of the various components). netelvuur’s essential oils are obtained using traditional production methods, through a slow and full low-pressure steam distillation.
storage: store essential oils in a cool, dark place. the shelf life of essential oils can vary greatly depending on the oil.
precautions: essential oils are highly concentrated! they should be used sparingly and according to instructions. wrong usage can be dangerous. ● store in a safe place, out of reach of children ● respect the recommended dose ● not recommended for babies and children under the age of 3 years ● do not use during pregnancy and breast-feeding ● use essential oils with caution in cases of epilepsy, asthma and heart disease ● in case of accidental ingestion of a large amount of essential oils, drink some edible vegetable oil (almond oil) and contact the poison control centre (070/24 52 45) ● use a carrier (vegetable oil, maple syrup, a neutral tablet, etc.) for the ingestion of essential oils ● never apply undiluted to the skin (with the exception of lavender and tea tree oils): dilute in a vegetable oil, cream, shampoo, etc. ● certain substances naturally present in essential oils may cause allergic reactions (e.g., citral, d-limonene, linalool, geraniol, citronellol, etc.). tip: for sensitive skin, first apply a drop of essential oil diluted in a little vegetable oil (e.g., almond oil) to the inside of the elbow and wait 24 hours. if there is no redness, itching or irritation, then the oil can be used. ● all citrus oils (bergamot peel, lemon, orange, mandarin and grapefruit) are photosensitising. avoid exposure to sunlight (including tanning beds) for at least 12 hours after use on the skin. ● avoid contact with your eyes and mucous membranes! in case of accidental contact with the eyes, rinse abundantly with clean water. if irritation persists or there is a visible injury, consult an ophthalmologist. ● not suitable for applying to the ears or eyes. ● the essential oils thyme, oregano, clove, wintergreen and cinnamon are irritants. do not ingest undiluted, spray or apply to the skin! ● continuous use or ingestion of essential oils is not recommended.
