The Jolly Roger logo features Sea Shepherd’s creative version of the pirate flag. It was designed by artist Geert Vons and shows what they stand for. The crossed shepherd's crook and Neptune's trident symbolise Sea Shepherd’s watch over marine life and their determination to fight for them so that they can safely live in the oceans. The skull represents the death that humanity brings to the oceans. Yin and Yang - whale and dolphin - on the other hand, symbolise Sea Shepherd’s mission to restore balance to the sea, to preserve the grace of dolphins and the wisdom of whales.
